On 13 July, experts of the largest Russian HR platform, hh.ru, studied 3.9 million CVs submitted by Russian candidates with university diplomas in 2020 and the first half of 2021. Based on the results, they made the first ranking of Russian universities based on the graduates’ employment level.
The ranking includes over 300 Russian universities which have at least 3,000 students (except for the universities in Moscow and military universities). The experts analysed salary expectations and the number of graduates of various years, as well as the number of managers and top managers in the total number of candidates who graduated from the same university.
Voronezh State University entered the top 30 of the best Russian universities.
“The graduates’ success is one of the key parameters of a university’s performance. This was stressed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. We often hear that the quality of education at our university is quite high, and that we work in collaboration with employers. But it is very good that we can now see the actual results. HeadHunter analysed 3.9 million CVs. It is a very representative sample which gave us the actual picture. The ranking is based on four parameters: the salary expectations of the graduates; the proportion of graduates who apply for top management positions; the number of graduates who apply for management positions; and the total number of CVs submitted by graduates. We have already seen the results of the Superjob rankings where our graduates of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law occupy top positions by the average entry-level salary. It is a very good result. We are also glad for Voronezh State Technical University which occupies the 80th position in the top 100 of the best universities,” said VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.
