VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky moderated the plenary session of the Second Russian-British Forum of University Rectors together with Vivien Stern, Head of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The forum was held at Moscow State University.

Baroness Alison Mary Suttie, British liberal democrat politician, VSU graduate, and member of the House of Lords, gave a report after Dmitry Endovitsky’s presentation. In September 2013, she was appointed a life peer in the House of Lords. Alison Suttie is campaigning to raise public awareness of tuberculosis in the UK and abroad and also fights homelessness.

The main topics of the forum were the discussion of key areas of Russian-British cooperation in the field of education and science, the development of academic mobility for students, postgraduate students, and lecturers, the creation of new joint double diploma educational programmes and the support of existing programmes, and the further development of scientific cooperation in top priority areas and cooperation with youths.

The Forum of Rectors will host for the first time a youth session with the participation of Russian and British students, during which students and postgraduate students of these two countries will be able to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation.
