On 28 January, the VII International research and methodology conference “Issues of Philology for Foreign Students” was held at VSU in a mixed format, both face-to-face and online.
58 people from various Russian universities took part in the conference (Vladivostok, Voronezh, Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, Kursk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk, Tver, Tyumen), as well as representatives of Vietnam, China, the Republic of Belarus, Senegal, and Turkmenistan.
At the conference they discussed the problems of teaching international students online during the COVID-19 pandemic, the formation of sociocultural and linguistic and cross-cultural knowledge in teaching Russian as a foreign language, teaching grammatical topics to international students, choosing literary texts, and other issues. All the reports were interesting and led to active discussions. The participants of the conference shared their personal experience and skills in the field of teaching international students.
