The first graduates of the “Computer Security” programme at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics of VSU received their diplomas. The ceremony was held offline which made it even more important and festive for the nineteen students. Among the participants of the event were Alexander Shashkin, the Dean of the faculty, Sergey Kenin, the Acting Head of the Department of ERP-Systems and Business Processes, and the leading university lecturers.
The training programme, which lasted for five and half years, was implemented in cooperation with the Military Training Centre of VSU. The specialisation within this education programme is information security. Therefore, the diploma specialisation reads “Information Security Specialist”. Upon the completion of the programme, the graduates are supposed to serve in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The comprehensive training of the graduates will allow them to be demanded in the Russian army, civil organisations which solve issues relating to information security, and organisations whose operation is impossible without information security.
The administration of the faculty wished the graduates to receive the first military rank of “lieutenant” as soon as possible and to have a successful career.
