The journal “Sorption and Chromatographic Processes” is published at the Faculty of Chemistry of VSU and since 2020 has been included in the Scopus database. The journal is now indexed on the SCImago Journal & Country Rank portal, which represents scientific indicators of journals included in the Scopus database (Elsevier B.V.). The journal is also included in the 4th quartile (Q4).
“The fact that the journal is indexed in the Scopus database and a SJR indicator is a new step in the development of the journal. This also encourages reaching the new frontiers, for example increasing the citation indices of articles, expanding the number of cities and countries represented by the authors and members of the editorial board,” said Vladimir Selemenev, Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry and the editor-in-chief of the journal. The journal “Sorption and Chromatographic Processes” has a long history: it has been published since 2001 and is the successor of the collection of scientific works “Theory and Practice of Sorption Processes”.
The journal publishes scientific articles in Russian and English devoted to the study of the structure and properties of natural and synthetic sorbents, carriers, ion-exchange granular and membrane materials; thermodynamics, kinetics, and dynamics of sorption, ion-exchange, and membrane processes; and theoretical and practical aspects of various chromatographic methods.
