On 22 June, a memorial mass meeting dedicated to the day when the Great Patriotic War started was held at the memorial sign to the students and staff members of Voronezh State University killed in action when fighting for their motherland. VSU students and staff paid tribute to those lost in the war.
The meeting included speeches by the rector of VSU Dmitry Endovitsky and Chair of the Trade Union Committee of VSU, Ludmila Vladimirova. After the speeches, the participants laid flowers at the memorial. They also paid tribute to the memory of those fallen in the war with a minute of silence.
