On 12 July, the official graduation ceremony for international bachelor’s and master’s degree students was held in the concert hall of Voronezh State University.
The ceremony was opened by Vladimir Rodionov, Director of the International Education Institute. It started with the anthem of the Russian Federation and the trooping of the colours of VSU and the International Education Institute. Besides their diplomas, all the graduates received brochures “Have a nice journey! 2022” with photos, interviews, and history of the international activity of the university, as well as the photos of the teachers and staff of the International Education Institute.
“We are proud that here at university we do not just train professionals who go on with their careers, but we also “produce” personalities. I.e. our graduates are not only qualified professionals, but they are also people with unique experience of studying in an international environment. They are people for whom the world is open. They are people who consider others to be like brothers to them. They are people who draw no national, political, or ethnic boundaries. We are proud that our country managed to create an environment for professional education to a high standard,” said Vladimir Rodionov. Oleg Belenov, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, also gave a talk at the ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by students and graduates from various faculties, as well as by the administration of the International Education Institute, and a large number of guests.
The atmosphere was lively and festive, and many words of praise and gratitude were spoken. The ceremony also included musical performances. Traditionally, the event concluded with the ceremony of passing “the key of knowledge” to the future first year students of Voronezh State University.
After they received their diplomas, the graduates had a photo shoot with their teachers and the staff of the International Education Institute.
