On 26 September, Vladimir Listengarten received an award from the governor of the Voronezh Region. The badge of honour “For dedicated work and professionalism” was awarded to him by VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky. The award ceremony was dedicated to the anniversary of this legendary employee of VSU.
VSU staff, rectors of Voronezh universities, art historian Bronislav Tabachnikov, and head of the registry office Marina Severgina came to congratulate Vladimir Listengarten. Marina Sternina, DSc in Philology, gave him a prize from the Sternins’ Fund. The representatives of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia awarded Vladimir Listengarten with the “For community” award pin.
In his response, Vladimir Listengarten thanked all the participants and said,
“I’m happy to have been closely linked to our university for 72 years. And tomorrow, as always, I’ll be ready to continue my work at the normal time. I serve my university and I serve Russia!”
After the celebration in the honour of the Rector's councillor, the meeting of the Academic Board continued as usual. Dmitry Endovitsky awarded Natalia Belenova, the winner of the grant competition for the master’s programme lecturers, with a diploma. Alexander Krylovetsky, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences, awarded three winners of the competition for the scholarship named after Eduard Algazinov. They were Nikita Paukov, Kirill Skofenko, and Evelina Steshenko.
Elena Chupandina, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, talked about the results of the admission campaign. 5,835 students were enrolled in the first year, among them 2,730 students were admitted to state-funded places and 3,105 students on a fee-paying basis. 344 students enrolled in secondary vocational education programmes, 3,142 in bachelor's degree programmes, 810 in specialist’s degree programmes, 1,423 in master’s degree programmes, and 116 in postgraduate and residency programmes. The average Russian State Exam score was 69.75 points. In total, 12,711 applications were received.
Nikolay Bryantsev, Vice Rector for Facilities and Capital Development, talked about the adaptation of VSU buildings for cold weather. Andrey Logunov, Head of Security, spoke about the level of anti-terrorism security at the university.
