The VIII Armenian-Russian Youth Forum was held between 25 and 28 September. Daria Kudinova, a second year student from the Faculty of International Relations, participated in the forum.

At this online forum, students had a chance to talk with the representatives of the leading industrial institutions of Russia and Armenia working in the area of youth politics. They discussed the issues concerning collaboration between Armenian and Russian youths and developed plans for the interaction of universities in the regions of Russia and Armenia. The participants formed the main trends for the development of youth cooperation between the two countries, and they also developed a plan of actions required to achieve their goals.

“Despite being held online, the forum turned out to be highly productive, we met new interesting people and learnt about the structure of youth policy in Armenia. An online tour of the Museum of History of Armenia, from which I learn some unique facts about the development of this wonderful country, was a memorable part of the forum,” said Daria Kudinova.

Daria Kudinova participated in the sections titled “Active youth activities in the regions” and “Youth activities in universities”. Daria, the student from VSU, presented a report and talked about the development of trusted relationships between young people in Russia and Armenia. She also shared some of her ideas, which were included in the forum’s resolution and will be discussed in the Ministries of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia.

“Such events are useful and necessary to strengthen friendly relationships between countries. You have to contribute to the development of such relationships between neighbouring countries and take part in them from the moment you become a student,” said Daria Kudinova.

The Armenian-Russian Youth Forum is held alternately in two countries. It is a traditional event for young people who are interested in friendly relations in the field of international youth policy.

The event was organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, Russian Technological University, basic youth organisation of CIS countries, and National Council of Youth and Children’s Associations of Russia.
