On October 7, the site of the Urban Legends project, dedicated to Osip Mandelshtam, was opened. Tatyana Ternova, Professor of the Department of Russian Literature of XX–XXI Centuries, Theory of Literature and the Humanities of the Philological Faculty of Voronezh State University, gave a speech at the event.

At the house at: 20-Letiya VLKSM ul., house 59, where Anna Akhmatova visited the exiled poet, an audio guide page appeared. The new excursion platform became one of the episodes of the educational project "Urban Legends", organised by MTS. Its goal is to acquaint Voronezh residents with the life of Mandelshtam in the city and the facts about the creation of his “Voronezh Notebooks”.

Deputy Head of the Voronezh Region Department of Entrepreneurship and Trade and Head of the Department for Tourism Development Alexander Kukin, Head of the Voronezh Visitor Centre Ekaterina Shramko, Director of the MTS for the Voronezh Region Vasily Golub, Regional Historian Vladimir Razmustov, spoke at the opening of the site.

Tatyana Ternova, an employee of Voronezh State University, talked about the “Voronezh Notebooks”, the main collection of Mandelshtam's mature works, reflecting the experience of freedom and unfreedom that the poet had during his Voronezh exile. The talk also contained other facts about Mandelshtam in Voronezh, in particular, about the publication of the program article "The Morning of Acmeism" in the journal Sirena.

The presented audio platform was prepared by street artist Yan Posadsky. The visual embodiment of the project was the image of the profiles of two poets. As the author of the work explained, the silhouettes made by the exiled writer Sergei Rudakov were used as the basis.

“The work suggests that black and white colours symbolize the era and the Voronezh black soil, which gave the name to the poem written in Voronezh, occupying the most significant place in the poet’s “Voronezh Notebooks” said VSU professor Tatyana Ternova.
