On 24 October, an exhibition “Horizon of Altai” by Sergey Kamnev opened at the Faculty of Journalism of VSU. It displays the photo diary of Hegumen Simon. The photos were made by Sergey Kamnev during his hiking tour of Altai in July and August 2022.
The opening ceremony was attended by the author himself, Vladimir Tulupov, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Elena Chaplygina, a lecturer at the Department of Public Relations, Advertising, and Design, and the faculty’s students. The ceremony was held in the hall of the university building housing the exhibition.
“Every passer-by, from a teacher hurrying to the class to a daydreaming student can’t help taking a look at an ancient mount Belukha, or the cool and mysterious lake Ak-Kem, or the fast and chilly waters of the river Katun. Everyone can immerse themselves in the quiet and awe-striking beauty of the landscapes of Altai”, said Elena Chaplygina, the organiser of the exhibition.
The exhibition is open till 5 November.
