Students from 3 faculties of VSU represented the university at the quarter-finals of the student world programming championship (ACC ICPC). The stage was carried at the Chernyshevsky Saratov National Research State University.
Representatives of the Faculty of Computer Science, the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, as well as the Faculty of Mathematics took part in the championship. The winners were the team comprised of students from the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Maxim Novotochinov, Nikolay Paukov and Yulia Shishko (team coach – lecturer Dmitry Solomatin) and the team: Anna Kosobutskaya, master's degree student of the Faculty of Computer Science, Ilya Klyuev, student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Maxim Danilov, student of the Faculty of Mathematics.
The teams were awarded with third degree diplomas and passed to the next stage of the championship, the semi-final competition, which will be held in the first ten days of December in St. Petersburg.
