On 18 January, a meeting between representative of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and a university partner was held at the Faculty of Computer Sciences, at the Severstal training centre. Among the participants of the event were Alexander Krylovetsky, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Mikhail Matveev, the Head of the Department of Information Management Technologies at the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Andrey Gromkovsky, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Management Technologies, and employees of the partner organisation. The meeting was devoted to the development of cooperation between the company and the faculty.
In the autumn semester of 2022, the leading specialists of AO Severstal-Infocom participated in the educational process at the Faculty of Computer Sciences and held a series of classes for 120 students. Ten employees of the company worked in the main educational programmes: they held lectures, practical and laboratory works, seminars, and master classes. For students, these classes were a good opportunity to enter the world of IT, the digital community and to gain practical knowledge first-hand from experts.
Students found the classes held by Severstal employees really interesting. A series of lectures and master classes helped students to get acquainted with the best practices of implementing IT projects and to gain unique practical knowledge. At the meeting, the faculty and the company agreed to continue their cooperation and to implement the main educational programmes of the Faculty of Computer Sciences.
The Dean of the Faculty also invited the representatives of Severstal to take part in events held by the Faculty of Computer Sciences in the spring semester: a technological session within the framework of the 23rd international scientific conference “Informatics: problems, methodology, and technologies” named after E.K. Algazinov and the 5th VrnCTF competition in programming and information security.
The Rector of VSU, Dmitry Endovitsky, expressed his gratitude to Sergei Dunaev, the General Director of AO Severstal-Infocom, and its leading specialists: Maxim Dedyaev, Head of the group “Electronic document flow”, Vitaly Shatskikh, Head of the Master Data group, Olga Klushina, senior HR manager, Kristina Tsvetkova, business analyst, Yulia Chernysheva, Wael Ali Alnashash , and Leonid Olesov, leading developers, Stanislav Nozdrin, analyst, Alexey Fedotov, project manager, and Andrey Belobrodsky, consultant. Alexander Krylovetsky, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences awarded the employees of the company with certificates and souvenirs.
