Rector of Voronezh State University, Dmitry Endovitsky, took part in the 15th Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities. The congress took place on 2 and 3 March in the Lomonosov building of Moscow State University.
During the congress, it was decided to accept 26 new universities into the association. Dmitry Endovitsky took part in the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Association of Universities and made a number of proposals, which were later included into the final resolution of the congress. In addition, Dmitry Endovitsky held business meetings with his counterparts and discussed a number of questions.
The Eurasian Association of Universities was established in 1989 as the Association of Universities of the USSR and in 1992 it was transformed into the Eurasian Association of Universities (EAU). Today, it is a reputable and influential international organisation of universities. It includes national universities of all CIS countries, leading regional universities, and higher educational institutions of Eurasian countries.
Today, the Eurasian Association unites 140 universities in Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
