The website of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) has published the ranking of the best “Masters” swimmers for 2022. The first place of the rating was taken by the coach of the VSU Swimming School Tatyana Prokofieva in the 200 meters breaststroke in the “short course” category (25 meter pool), and over five other distances she was in the top 10.
“Thanks to the Masters movement, I was able to return to swimming after 20 years. Day after day, by regularly keeping fit and improving my swimming technique, I was able to achieve good results, first in Russia, and then at the world level. My achievements today are the result of many years of work,” Tatiana Prokofieva commented.
“Our coaches try not only to keep themselves in shape, but also to inspire young swimmers to get achievements in sport through personal example. The leadership of Tatyana Prokofieva in the Masters world swimmer competition demonstrates the coach’s constant practical work on improving the technique that she passes on to her students,” said Yuri Perin, head of the VSU Swimming School.
