On 21 April, Professor Pedro Dall’Armellina, Professor Hernan Pose, and lecturer Mahuen Galloan gave an online lecture “Progressivism in Latin America”. The event was held within the framework of cooperation between VSU and the National University of Comahue (Argentina).
The lecture was attended by students from the Faculty of International Relations of VSU who study Spanish and the lecturers of the faculty. The event aroused much interest, a heated discussion, and a debate about the role and significance of progressivism in Latin America, the application of forms and methods of progressive movements in different countries of the world, including Russia, and the role of Cuba in the formation of the progressive movement. The phenomenon of progressivism is very interesting due to the fact that most Latin American governments declare their belonging to this political and ideological movement, which is extremely heterogeneous.
In May, three more lectures are planned to be held by lecturers from the Faculty of International Relations and three lectures by lecturers from the National University of Comahue.
