On 19 May, an International Congress “Economy, education, human resources” was held in Minsk. It was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Belarus State Economic University. Representatives of administrative institutions of Belarus, heads of education institutions in Belarus, the CIS countries, and China, as well as representatives of research institutions and business community came to congratulate Belarus State Economic University. Among the guests were representatives of Voronezh State University.
The congress resumed its work as part of the 26th scientific and practical conference “The economic growth of the Republic of Belarus: globalisation, innovations, sustainability”. VSU was represented at the conference by several participants: Larisa Korobeinikova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Contract Services, Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit, Artem Krivosheyev, Head of the Planning and Finance Department and senior lecturer at the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit, Maria Tkacheva, Associate Professor at the Department of Economic Security and Accounting, Kristina Chercasova, lecturer at the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit, and Grigory Razuvaev, student of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.
The conference included 12 discussion panels focusing on a series of issues: from theoretical economics to social and humanitarian studies. The speakers talked about modern economics, price controls, innovative development, and crises. They also discussed tools for the support and growth of the economy. The conference discussed both scientific and applied issues.
The conference is held annually on the day of the university’s anniversary and reminds people of the university’s mission – to ensure the economic security of people, society, state, national economy, and economic entities. Among the participants of the congress there were leading scientists from Belarus State Economic University and international partners. They included: the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Research Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, Astana International University, National Economic University of Hanoi, Lovely Professional University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics, and Tomsk State University.
