6th year student of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences Katerina Manzhula became the winner of the interregional tournament in Historical European Martial Arts “Divine Comedy”. Katerina performed in the women's “Longsword” category. 22 girls from different cities took part in the tournament.
The event was organised by the Voronezh school of Historical European Martial Arts “Steel”. Participants had nine rounds, each of which was more difficult than the previous. With each new round there was less time for battle, less chance of correcting mistakes, which meant more risk, adrenaline, and passion.
“Some battles were very intense, and it was possible to win even with a large gap in points not in my favour, some battles were simpler,” Katerina shared.
The reward for first place in the tournament was a sword.
“For training, I am mastering various weapons, and I plan to continue to work hard and participate in tournaments,” said Katerina.
