On November 26, the 23rd International Song and Dance Festival “Let’s Join Hands” took place in the VSU concert hall. It was organised by the Department of Culture of the Voronezh Municipal Government and the International Education Institute of VSU.
The participants of the festival were foreign students from the International Education Institute of Voronezh State University, Zhukovsky and Gagarin Air Force Academy, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, and Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University. The students performed in the genres of national song and dance.
On the stage of VSU, 30 participants presented 13 countries of the world: Cameroon, China, Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Zambia.
“Let’s Join Hands” is the most famous festival of foreign students’ culture in Voronezh with a very good history and traditions. It’s great that the festival continues to operate. The importance of intercultural communication, respect, and appreciation should not be underestimated,” said Natalia Vella, Deputy Director for Extracurricular Activities at the International Education Institute of VSU.
