On 25 April, the closing concert of the regional student festival took place. The team from Voronezh State University took first place in the overall standing. Voronezh State Agricultural University took second place and Voronezh State Technical University took third place. According to the results of the voting among the audience, the best team was that of Voronezh State Pedagogical University.
During the largest student festival in the region, university students presented their best artistic performances. The qualifying stages were held between 17 and 21 April. 900 students from 13 universities in the Voronezh Region took part in the qualifying contests.
They competed in various nominations: “Programme”, “Vocal Performance”, “Musical Performance”, “Dancing”, “Theatrical Performance”, “Original Genre”, “Fashion”, and a number of media categories. The jury included both regional and federal level artists and experts. Their task was to assess over 160 performances.
“This year, the students had more time to prepare, since the university stage was held a bit earlier than usual. The participants had enough time to read the jury’s recommendations and work on their performances. I’m glad that all the performances presented by our team at the regional competition were awarded prizes. All 33 performances! I’m happy that our team won first prize! They worked hard and they deserved it! Taking part in the “Russian Students' Spring” festival is a great experience for our team. It’s a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and talents and get feedback from experts, to learn more about the participants from Voronezh and meet students from other regions”, said Natalia Bukhvalova, Art Director at VSU.
Students with the best performances will be representing the Voronezh Region at the Russian Student’s Spring festival that is to be held between 26 May and 1 June in Saratov. Prior to the national student festival, the teams will compete several qualifying contests.
The regional stage of the student festival is organised by the Department of Youth Policy of the Voronezh Region and the Regional Youth Centre. The organisers and sponsors of the Russian Student’s Spring festival in 2024 are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Public Organisation “Russian Union of Youth”, and the government of the Saratov Region. The project is supported with the grant of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
