Getting around

You can use public transport to get around the city. Use the 2gis app to check the bus services or consult the maps.

You can also use the Яндекс. Go app to hire a taxi. Change the language of the app in the settings (настройки).

The public transport includes buses, minibuses (marshrutkas) and a small quantity of trolleybuses.

To ride a minibus as well as a bus will cost you 26 roubles (if paid by card) or 29 roubles (if paid in cash).

Both buses and marshrutkas run their own route, which corresponds to the number on the vehicle (NOT THE CAR NUMBER).

You can travel by taxi as well. It’s cheaper if you book in advance, rather than catching it on the spot, which may be quite expensive.
